- TAOL Code of Ethics Article IV

1: That the dignity of his/her chosen profession may be perpetuated, it is the duty of each member of
TAOL by his/her acceptance and continuance of membership therein shall be deemed to have subscribed to the following Code of Ethics. As a Professional Locksmith, I agree and promise,

a: to pursue my professional work in the spirit of fairness to my client, with fidelity to security in conformance with appropriateness and with high ideals of personal honour;

b: to properly and impartially analyze security problems receiving my attention and to advance the best possible solution for the protection of my client;
c: to conduct myself in a dignified manner, to avoid using any improper or questionable methods of soliciting professional work;

- d: to refrain from associating myself with or allowing the use of my name by any enterprise of questionable character, or in any manner countenancing misrepresentation or disrepute in the trade;
e: to co-operate in advancing the best interest of the locksmithing industry by interchange of general information and experience with my fellow locksmith; and

- f: to encourage and promote loyalty for my profession and interest myself in public welfare, always ready to apply my special knowledge, skill and training for the advancement of my profession.
